The Horse and Jockey is a traditional and popular country pub, located in the hamlet of Curbridge and sitting at the upper reaches of the River Hamble, serving excellent ales and exciting food. Many customers come up the tidal river in boats for a satisfying pint of Gales HSB, Fullers London Pride, good wines, and an excellent meal before riding the outgoing tide back.
The pub has a large car park, with a riverside garden
and a playground area for children - with supervised use.
Helen, the Landlady, is committed to making sure that the Horse and Jockey will remain a traditional pub, with a focus on the customer, increasing its reputation for fine Cask Conditioned Ales, Beers, Wines and Spirits.
There are fewer and fewer traditional pubs these days and the Horse and Jockey at Curbridge is distinctly traditional, comfortable and at the heart of the hamlet.
